The window for arrival was very specific, so I did not have to take a whole day off from work. When JD arrived, he was professional, respectful and explained everything he was doing ahead of time. My experience with West Houston Electric, Inc. was great from head to toe. The tracking capability and arrival early in the time window provided was great. JD and his trainee were very clear and efficient with the safety inspection and estimate generation and then to get all the necessary work done including an upgraded Surge Protector and letting us know that the prior one was not connected. Additionally, JD helped to look at a bathroom light fixture that we have been having some issues with and delivered an estimate for additional front of house landscape lighting that we will probably be moving forward with. If your in a jam and need someone to come out. I give them a 10 out of 10 they will respond in a timely manner and the technician showed up and gave a estimate. The technician was professional also. They were a little expensive for the job I needed done. So I decided to go with someone else but they were courteous and the technician was professional.

Everyone I spoke with at this company was very nice and communicated well. The company is professionally run and organized. They kept me updated when the electrician was on the way, which I appreciated. However, I couldn’t give them 5 stars because the pricing was outrageous. To install one floodlight security camera, the electrician, Theo, quoted me over $1,000 — and that was without their VIP membership. With the membership discount, the price would still have been $940. It felt like I was being quoted for multiple cameras or a full security system, not a single installation. I’ll stick with contractors from the two popular apps who are willing to do the same job for $260–$300.

Rolando and the team did a great job. We wanted a lot of jobs doing and they fitted us in quickly.

One of the other electricians, Christian, was here about a year ago to address an over voltage issue that we were having with oir new Daikin FIT AC system. He and his teammate did a thorough analysis to troubleshoot the problem and they even met with a Centerpoint tech to determine the issue. Our Service Technician, Theo, was thorough and delivered the work on the company's promises from start to finish. He fixed issues we had experienced for a long time and was capable of successfully completing all of the issues we identified in our original work order. We were pleased to have him in our home, making it safer and developing a plan for bringing our house up to code. We were glad to know that he would be the technician to assist us down the road. Theo, teaming with Dalton, completed our large electrical project, replacing our entire electrical panel with breakers, detailed circuit labeling, whole home surge protection, and a new meter base for utility connection. Theo did a great job replacing three outdoor outlets with easy-to-open covers and checking all the issues i had after the storm. He did a very thorough inspection of my home, finding a number of issues that need attention and will email all the details we covered. I asked for two weeks time to study the details before making any decisions on having these items repaired. Theo is exceptionally personable and communicative. I'm a "happy camper" today!

I had a 3 switch wall plate that was heating up and I tried to “fix” it myself. I was unsuccessful and was left with finding an Electrician. I looked at West Houston Electric and actually thought nobody can really have that many great reviews. Well, I was wrong! JD and his assistant Dalton showed up on time and immediately began a detailed diagnostic. They not only found the cause of my overheating wall plate but also discovered incorrect circuit breakers on my two ac units. JD is professional, knowledgeable and VERY patient. He discussed all options in a simple and understandable way. I will be using West Houston Electric for all my electrical needs.

Joseph came out to troubleshoot a malfunctioning doorbell. He was on time, professional, personable, explained what he was doing, and called a colleague when he wasn't certain about something instead of forging ahead and damaging something. All things considered, an extremely positive interaction. In the course of his (standard) safety inspection he advised me of 3 electrical issues that need to be addressed somewhat urgently, and our home is only 6 years old. Estimates were clear and there is no hard sell. I will definitely use West Houston Electric in the future. Update: Joseph returned today to perform the additional services. I would give more than 5 stars if it was an option. He replaced our whole-house surge protector, installed a new grounding rod and corrected a grounding error he identified (and patiently explained to me) in an electrical subpanel. The office called ahead to see if he could come early. That was awesome. The price was fair. He was fast, professional and even let me watch. Ask for Joseph. He is a great brand ambassador for West Houston Electric. This is a well-run company and they have earned my continuing business. Update: We had a near miss lightning strike that surged through our whole-house surge protector and Landen came out to address it. He diagnosed the problem very efficiently and had our blown circuits back online quicker than I expected. Thanks, Landen. Update: Today Sean came out and did a 5+ Star job for us. We needed our replacement surge protector installed so the old unit can be sent to the manufacturer for testing in conjunction with a warranty claim. The manufacturer has been great to work with so far, but we won't have approval until testing is complete. I am optimistic, since WHE seems to work with top quality suppliers. Sean is the third electrician we have worked with from WHE, and since he had not been here before he performed his own thorough safety check, which I appreciated. Thank you, Sean.
